Blue Knights Maryland IX
Ride with Pride!
Support Our Wounded Veterans! Last year, over 150 motorcyclists joined us in a ride to demonstrate our support for the members of the Armed Forces who have valiantly served our Country, and been wounded. We have raised over $19,000.00 during this event which is used to help them with their day-to-day activities while they are being treated at the hospital. It's time to do it again!
The ride begins at Freedom Park in Sykesville, for preparation, registration, music, and food. We will then travel, with full motorcycle police escort, to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C., or the National Naval Medical Center (Bethesda Naval Hospital) in Bethesda, Maryland. We are usually greeted by wounded troops and their families at the lobby, where we make our donation, and thank them for their service.
1.Bring a check for at least $25 per bike made out to the Armed Forces Foundation/Purple Heart Ride to registration, and
2. Bring a signed waiver form to registration
Many people have inquired about making a donation but not attending the ride. All donations are welcome. You can mail a check to our address which is listed on our home page. Everyone is welcome to donate to this worthy cause! Registration will begin at 7:00am and continue until 10:00am, when the ride begins.
